| "Harlem Super Stars" to perform at DRHS Dexter Regional High School's Operation Graduation will be hosting the "Harlem Super Stars" on November 20th beginning at 6:00 PM at Dexter Regional High Schools gymnasium. The Super Stars will be playing against faculty members from the High School, Primary School, Middle School and Exeter and Garland schools. Advance tickets may be purchased now in the main office of Dexter Regional High School at $8.00 each or may be purchased the night of the event at $10.00 each. |
| Meals for Me Menus |
| Eastern Agency on Aging's Meals for Me program serves noontime meals to seniors 60 and older in community dining rooms or through home delivery to those who qualify. Meals for Me at the Dexter Town Hall Senior Center Tuesdays and Thursdays, serving time around 12:00pm (lunch time) at the Dexter Town Hall They ask for at least a $3 donation, more if you can. After lunch, they play cribbage and cards. For more information the Meal site is 924-7624 and ask for Jill Jones. You must call 1-800-462-9899, the day before, to make a reservation so they know how many meals to prepare. Some home delivery is available, ask when you call!! Meals for Me receives some government funding but not enough to cover the full cost of the meal. Patrons are encouraged to contribute part or all of the $6 it costs to prepare and serve each meal. | Penquis Child Care Resource Development Center and the Healthy Maine Partnerships in Penobscot and Piscataquis counties have teamed up to offer Nutrition in Early Care and Education Settings. Participants will learn about safe food handling, quick, easy, and affordable meals, quantity food handling, and tips and tricks for healthy eating. In addition, participants will learn skills to assist parents in providing healthy meals on a tight budget at home and practice skills for talking to families about nutrition. Pine Tree Hospice would like to honor area families that are living with losses and provide this unique opportunity for friends and neighbors to gather together to share memories and acknowledge the gifts many have given in service to our communities. | Librarian, Liz Breault urges area bakers to show up at the library in Dexter on Saturday, December 20 armed with their favorite holiday fruitcake. Fruitcakes will be judged by three area judges beginning at 1 P.M. Immediately following the judging, the fruitcakes will be sliced and served at a holiday open house. Prizes, compliments of the Brewster Inn will be awarded for First($25), Second($15) and Third($10) places. If the recipe comes from a library cookbook, the prize money will be doubled. | Flu Clinics |
| At Dover-Foxcroft Family Medicine, flu shots will be available on a walk-in basis at a public clinic scheduled for 8-11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8. An additional clinic will be scheduled on a weekday evening to be determined.
At Dexter Internal Medicine, flu shots will be available on a walk-in basis from 1-4 p.m. on Tuesdays. At Dexter Family Practice, flu shots are available by appointment, starting Oct. 28 and running through January, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays in the ground floor lab area of the Reddy Health Center. Flu shots will also be available every Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. in the family practice office. At Guilford Medical Associates, flu shots will be available on a walk-in basis at a public clinic Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and Friday, Oct. 31, from 2:30-4 p.m. A clinic is scheduled for Riverbend Homes in Guilford from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30. At Milo Family Practice, flu shots will be available at a public clinic Thursday, Nov. 13, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. At Fernow Medical Associates in Dover-Foxcroft, flu shots for patients of the office will be given on a walk-in basis Thursday, Oct. 23, and Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 1-4 p.m. At Corinna Family Practice and George Kousaie Family Practice, flu shots will be available to patients by appointment during regular office hours. The flu shot in most cases will cost nothing, since health insurances, including Medicare and MaineCare, routinely provide this benefit. |

| Rollerskating at Town Hall |
| Rollerskating began Saturday October 4th and continues through April from from 2-4 PM. If you have your own skates, feel free to bring them, including regulation Inline Skates, Roller Blades (not the sneaker type with the drop down wheels); limit sizes are available at the Roller Skating Rink. Volunteers are needed to help run the concession stand, handing out skates etc, so if you could donate some time call Andy at 924-3438 for more information.
